VA revealed that it had delivered over 127.5 million healthcare appointments, which is a 6% rise from the previous year. Additionally, the VA processed 2.5 million disability benefit applications, which is an astounding 27% increase. In terms of finances, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) distributed a staggering $187 billion in benefits to 6.7 million veterans and survivors, setting a new record for allocations.
Trust in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) services reached an all-time high of 80.4%, representing a 25% increase over 2016. Meanwhile, trust in VA health care reached 92%. There was a significant rise of 37% in the number of Veterans who enrolled in the Veterans Affairs healthcare system after the PACT Act was passed.
A total of approximately 48,000 homeless Veterans were provided with housing by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). At the same time, the Veterans Crisis Line assisted over 1.1 million persons, representing a 12% increase from the previous year.
