U.S. Veterans Magazine honored 118th Operations Group all-source intelligence analyst Master Sgt. Danielle Hopkins for her significant service career. Hopkins has earned her peers' esteem by excelling in intelligence and service at Berry Field Air National Guard Base in Nashville, Tennessee.

“Being recognized is an honor,” Hopkins added. “I'm proud to serve my country and work with such talented people.” She established an example in the 118th Wing with her leadership, technical talents, and mentoring of younger military members.

Hopkins served in the Navy Reserves and Tennessee Air National Guard for almost 20 years. Hopkins wanted to join the military after her father's navy service, but she hesitated. She enlisted in 2004 following the 9/11 attacks, fulfilling her love for service.

Hopkins gained assertiveness during her work. She said, “I had to be the best at my job, learn to be assertive, and lead others effectively.”

Hopkins joined the Air National Guard to serve closer to home and balance her job and personal life. The military supports women, but juggling family life is difficult. She remarked “Child care is expensive, and many women struggle with maintaining a two-income household while serving”.

Hopkins enthusiastically praises military life despite these obstacles. I've worked with heroes, preserved freedom, and trained future service personnel. That bond is precious, she said.

Hopkins thanked the military for its chances and encouraged young women to enlist. “The honor of serving our country and the bond with my fellow service members are unmatched in civilian life. It was a privilege.”
